Finding quality Catalyst child themes in the past few weeks has been a challenge and there hasn't been a place to buy Dynamik skins that preserve the amazing functionality that Dynamik brings to Catalyst.

It's time for change.

The 4th of July is not only our nations birthday, but is also the start of BestDynamikSkins.com - a marketplace that only sells Dynamik skins! But, how is it different from other theme marketplaces?

First of all, take a look at it - it's so simple! It's just one page! It’s quick - there are no graphics to slow down your browser. There are no categories to sift through. You click on a title you see the theme. Simple. That’s just the beginning!

ACCOUNTS
There is no need to enter your email address and get another account that you must remember the login details too! There are no accounts on BestDynamikSkins.com. You are welcome!

BUYING
It's a new way of buying themes. Actually, people don't buy themes or child themes at all, people just buy Dynamik skins. The difference is that with a Dynamik skin you retain all the great functionality of Dynamik. You get to keep the similar controls you are used to.

CREDITS
Credits are a waste of money too! Why would you buy $40 of credits when the theme you want is $32? Makes no sense to us On BestDynamikSkins.com you pay for what you buy... not a dollar more.

PRICE
That brings us to price. All skins are $19. When new skins are available, they will be $19. You never have to guess as to how much you are going to spend. It’s always going to be $19. Imagine a beautiful starting point (or finished design) for your site for less than a few Starbucks coffees.

SELLING
Do you have a few really nice dynamik skins you are really proud of? Were you able to make something amazing using Dynamik? Share it with the world on BestDynamikSkins.com.

Once again, lets revolutionize selling. Other theme marketplaces take 50% of every sale you make and that is if you are exclusive (not selling your work anywhere else).

Here’s how we made it better for the developer - we charge a low monthly fee to list your skin. How much? Just $19 per month per theme. If you sell 100 copies, it's still just $19 as opposed to $950 you'd have to pay other marketplaces. The skin needs to be high quality and be approved before we add it (and it won’t take weeks to approve skins - it will take less than 72 hours).

And of course, you can sell your skins anywhere you want. Hey they are yours, make as much money as you can! You deserve it.

Congrats on your new venture! I hope it does well for you.

But I do have some issues with both your tone and some of the statements you made. I have no problem with a little passion in a presentation, but there's just no need to put down one system so you can try and push your own. Just focus on why yours is great.

For example:

Mojo-themes is preventing other developers from submitting child themes

That's just plain false. Any developer can submit Catalyst Child Themes to Mojo. Weather or not they accept the submission is based on certain standards they have set, but that's the case with any theme marketplace.

instead of ripping off developers with each and every sale

That's an opinion, not a fact and once again it's totally unnecessary.

So feel free to edit your post if you'd like to clean up the tone a bit. I don't usually edit other peoples posts, but when this kind of tone is present or even false statements are shared it leaves me with little choice.

I do truly hope you do well with this and other than the things mentioned above totally support this kind of thing. I just don't appreciate the tone in which you've presented it.

Get help from the trusted source - the Catalyst Forum. Each Dynamik skin has a thread in this forum, so you can post questions and help other without needing another account.

You claim you are providing "trusted" support by using this community, but these are your products and you've done nothing here to demonstrate you can be trusted.

Your site has no contact info. The only seller information on Paypal is the line 1TOI, Inc at the top of the purchase page. Is that you? Is this your website here?

From personal experience I can tell you that statement is wrong. Anyone who wants to sell child themes on Mojo can click the signup button in the upper right corner on this page.

All I see is someone trashing Catalyst child themes, trashing Mojo and further staining this community by attempting to use it to provide support for your inferior products. As if we have even the slightest relationship with you, whoever you are.

This forum should be used to support Catalyst products and the products created to support Catalyst, no matter who creates them. But not those attempting to make sales via an adversarial position. I don't think you are going to want potential customers to see those support threads once you've angered this community.

Finally, how can I trust you didn't steal the skins you are selling if you are incapable of creating a professional site to sell them on? Why not use one of your own skins, at least, to appear less like a scam?

I'm beginning to see why you are attempting to use this forum for "trusted" support. I just hope it's members are wise enough to be very cautious!

First and foremost, good luck with your skin store ianamy34. I hope it does well. It's great to see the secondary market for catalyst products up and running. I'm sure many will soon be joining you in supplying 3rd party products to the growing market of Catalyst developers and end-users.

As for your delivery, well, it certainly wouldn't be my approach, but then, I'm more one to look to build partnerships than try to ruffle feathers. If that's your thing though, go for it.

Eric, I think your response to the OP is very reasonable, and I agree with everything you've said. Sufjam, I agree with everything in your post too.


If you're looking for any feedback on your package ianamy34, I know you say your sales site is minimal with "no graphics to slow down your browser", but if people are looking for skins and themes and prepared to download them, I'm sure a few images, maybe a banner and some other visual interest wouldn't bother them. IMO your site should speak to the quality and style of your product to some degree. You're really underselling yourself by having SUCH a basic site. Minimalist design can look great if done well, but yours is just a bit... um... odd. I agree with Surfjam - at least wrap it in on of your own skins or something.

Lastly, trying to run support for your third party products through the official Catalyst Support channel - LOL - You're not serious about that are you? You should really have your own space for that. It could be pretty misleading for people as to who endorses the product, who produced the product, who has the responsibility to support it. etc. etc.


But, having said all that, I do wish you good luck with what your up to. Make a splash I'm sure you will (already have). I think you just need to re-tune your marketing approach a bit to ensure your contributing to the market and community you're trying to make money from. Playing both the supporter and contrarian at the same time each for the benefits they can bring your own business doesn't help you build your brand with integrity and longevity, nor a thriving community.

This page, not this company or anything. Personally I could not advice anyone to use such a site but ok... no one is forced to.

It's true, I have not been an active forum member in the past. I have not needed much assistance because Catalyst is very easy to use but it turns out that I can't use this forum to answer questions about the skins (forum rules) so I will be removing those posts.

I've submitted to Mojo in the past and they have taken WEEKS to respond to a single comment of mine - in regards to Catalyst child themes there is a reason that "cobaltapps" is the only seller of child themes on MOJO (see it here).

Finally, how can I trust you didn't steal the skins you are selling if you are incapable of creating a professional site to sell them on? Why not use one of your own skins, at least, to appear less like a scam?

Really? How would you steal someone else's Dynamik skin? I am very capable of creating any site I want, I chose a minimalistic approach to stand out from all other marketplaces.

Hey junioratoms! I just edited my post, I guess it was a little too hard for mojo and theme forest fans! Sorry! 'get a real site' - I like the site! It's different, simple and unlike any other marketplace out there!
