    Your feedback appreciated

I've just started working with catalyst. I wanted a cleaner, minimalist look that highlights my content. I'm using the Zen Habits skin. I have more work to do, but any suggestions from bloggers is appreciated.

Have you considered moving at least category dropdown up in the roomy header? I veto exclusive navigation in footer

Must not break idea of Zen habits though. That is why you put it there I guess. Starting to add stuff to navbar wont work. Too many entries you have. Sidebar might work with dropdown.

Permalinks are not so pretty, like http://liveholiness.com/?cat=5 just remember to chose a better formular for them.

Now I click some more I see it is my issue but at first I thought breadcrumb line was a new navbar. Because there is no "Home" I assume. Or the border making it look like a navbar. As one eventually find out how to navigate via footer setup breadcrumbs features becomes clear. Just found a way to mention that again, heh.

Bambo...what would you suggest that I do with permalinks? How can I change them to be a better formula?

You can see options in Settings, Permalinks.

    Explained here http://codex.wordpress.org/Using_Permalinks

They warn against %postname% but after WordPress 3.3 it is ok to use. Anything but default, too much robot over that.

Wow this is so minimal it begins to look undercooked imo. A nice gentle, very subtle background would be enough to lift it a bit. The pure white is a bit harsh.

I do agree with deepsouth... I was waiting for the rest of the page to download. You can still keep it super minimal though, but maybe just a little more detail or structure would really lift it...

It reminds me a little of a 'bare bones' tumblr page.
I'm on a larger monitor and whilst i do like it, it also looks very 'stark'
