    Catalyst numero 2 by 2urn

Just finished another rebrand and web development project (My second with Catalyst—loving it more all the time!):

    http://cvoxgroup.com/

Still in beta, any bug reports much appreciated.

    Thanks,
    Dimitry

    That is a big site!

I was just checking Royal Slider so can see you must use older version. He claim to have fixed bugs with WP 3.3.1 so may be why nothing is moving in Whiteboard Moments ? Or there is only 1 slide?

Only thing I will say is that footer actually looks better with no hover effect. May be because it is at the bottom. Whole page give better impression with no hover effect is more correct to say. Seems slightly off to me as it is. Possible eye defect here

Top menu floats a bit around on front page but sits tight on for example blog. That is beta part? or does it look bad if menu is fixed/identical on all pages? I would think that was last item to change.

jQuery 1.6.2 from Google should be jQuery 1.7.1 but if it comes from Royal Slider it is probably fixed after you update.

For those requesting icons for menus check this submenu "Our Voices", "Thought Leader" Sprites!

Another awesome site Dimitry!! Have been looking forward to seeing another one from you...

Plenty of little bells and whistles here to really take it away from anything at all WP looking.

    Love it!

Hey thanks guys... your feedback is much appreciated, as always!

Bambo, I will check on the Royal Slider... code, thanks for the tip! Regarding the overlays etc... A) It was a design choice to limit the colors and to feature transparency with very strong background images that had a lot more contrast and red: but the client uploaded their own as it is their right (though they made them rather pale). They are coming around, however, and I will be creating new custom bg graphics... so I will revisit colors later and may make adjustments if we decided to stay on the lighter side with the BGs.

    B) The menus are intentionally different on front vs other pages. (no search and attached to top of window) to add air around slider and let background shine through.

    c) Oh there is only one whiteboard moment at present, lol!

I was wondering if any of you experts had any experience with modernizr (in general) and with Catalyst?

And also, if you had any snippets to share so I edit custom post type templates in catalyst to attach page titles at the top of custom post type archives and singles...

    Much appreciated.

Latest Royal is supposed to be responsive btw.

You mean site falls apart in IE8 and older? Well fix it Modernizr pffft. Go CSS3 Pie, add some manual CSS fixing and enjoy life! In case you wonder I have no need for modernizr...

Dont know about custom stuff, sounds like you want to talk with eric (here "make a new thread for new problem please" eric)

About the menu check image, what I mean with floating. Reimagining new placement = you are right - it would suck, have to be dif. on frontpage. At the top is best alternative.

Transparency is IT on the site and I am not sensitive enough to have opinion on level - other than on footer where hover effect is too much. Permanent, still transparent, color would be better. So pretty when you hover Might change opinion if you are working on new bg pixels. Just the only thing I see is worth mentioning.

Checked site in IE8. That must be beta part then? Transparency stuff is just a few png files, done. You are all rgba now I think. Or CSS3 Pie. May be you have bigger ambitions and want genuine HTML5 structure to rock in IE8 - after you have tuned Catalyst. Ok... have fun with that. IE8 users dont mind suffering a bit so let them have it, heh.

If you increase body.home div#navbar-1.clearfix from 536px to 540px it sit still. When seen via Firebug that is.
