    Woo-hoo! I ddi it!

OK, my new website is launched, and I am so thrilled!!!
Thanks, everybody, for all your help, especially JustMe.
If you're curious, the site is www.teresameek.com. Suggestions are welcome if they're not too complicated. Which in my case means not complicated AT ALL.
So excited I misspelled this post header.

I find the background color too bright and drawing attention away from the content.

Now for the suggestions which will be very easy to implement.

Watch this video http://vimeopro.com/cobaltapps/catal...video/22669005. Its long (45 mins) but shows you how to duplicate a site.

My suggestion would be to find a site/design that you like and then duplicate it accordingly. I personally find that a lot easier than designing from scratch.

Easier can be crap too. I think best is to do what you want.

But I have to agree on the background. May be check out Subtlepatterns http://subtlepatterns.com/ May be too subtle? But if you find one they are great, loads super fast being patterns so no wobbly huge background to take care of.

I checked out the only GREEN they have http://subtlepatterns.com/patterns/pool_table.png and so noticed you have ("images/") as background code. No you have not. Check settings in Dynamik. Decent that pool table but hmm. Another option is to make your own almost pure color, yet not, at NoisePNG http://noisepng.com/ It is the in your eyes effect moserw and perhaps others dont like - adding some noise can fix that.

Hi Teresa, I like your site and your pages, but I have a pet peeve that I'll share with you regarding blogging and websites. I realize that your blog is a "separate place" from your business site, but I always like to see a link to get *back* to the business site, from the blog. IOW, I went to your blog from your website, but there was no way back - no links, no "please visit my website" etc. Just my 2 cents, but I prefer to see those links right at the top of a blog. It's nice to meet a fellow writer I am in Alaska, and write (and self publish) quilting "how to" books. Congrats on creating your own website!
